Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you create an account, enroll in courses, make purchases, communicate with instructors or support, or otherwise interact with the Platform. This includes your name, email address, profile picture, payment information, and any other information you choose to provide.
We automatically collect certain technical information when you access the Platform, including your IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device identifiers, referring URLs, pages viewed, time spent on pages, and other standard web analytics data.
We may also collect information from third-party sources, such as social media platforms when you sign in using a social account, payment processors when you complete transactions, and analytics providers that help us understand how the Platform is used.
How We Use Information
We use the information we collect to provide, maintain, and improve the Platform, including processing transactions, sending course-related communications, and personalizing your learning experience. We also use your information to respond to your inquiries and provide customer support.
We analyze usage patterns and trends to improve our course recommendations, optimize Platform performance, and develop new features. This analysis may involve aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably be used to identify you.
We may use your email address to send you marketing communications about new courses, promotions, and Platform updates. You can opt out of marketing emails at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any marketing email or by updating your notification preferences in your account settings.
Information Sharing
We do not sell your personal information to third parties. We may share your information with third-party service providers who perform services on our behalf, such as payment processing, data analysis, email delivery, hosting, customer service, and marketing assistance. These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only for the purposes we specify.
When you enroll in a course, certain information such as your name and profile picture may be visible to the course instructor. Instructors are bound by their own agreements with Intrazero regarding the handling of student information.
We may disclose your information if required by law, in response to a valid legal process, to protect the rights and safety of Intrazero or others, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. In such cases, we will make reasonable efforts to notify you unless doing so is prohibited by law.
Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include encryption of data in transit and at rest, regular security assessments, and access controls that limit who within our organization can access your data.
Despite our efforts, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee the absolute security of your information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for any activities that occur under your account.
In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you and the relevant authorities as required by applicable law. We will provide information about the breach, the steps we are taking to address it, and recommendations for protecting yourself.
Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information under applicable data protection laws, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA).
These rights may include the right to access the personal information we hold about you, the right to request correction of inaccurate information, the right to request deletion of your information, the right to restrict or object to certain processing activities, and the right to data portability.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at privacy@eduplatform.com. We will respond to your request within the timeframe required by applicable law. We may need to verify your identity before processing your request. Please note that certain rights may be subject to limitations and exceptions under applicable law.
Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed to children under the age of 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If you are a parent or guardian and believe that your child has provided us with personal information without your consent, please contact us immediately.
If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 16 without verified parental consent, we will take steps to delete that information as quickly as possible. We encourage parents and guardians to monitor their children's online activities and to help enforce this policy.
